Medicare Card holders receive *FREE value-based priority care for non life-threatening conditions, without the need to visit an Emergency Department.

Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, co-located within Lismore GP Super Clinic, supports hospitals throughout the Northern Rivers Area.

Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic provides to Medicare Card holders free, immediate, treatment and care for patients with or who are experiencing non life-threatening injuries or illnesses.

Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is supported by highly skilled independent doctors and nurses, utilising excellent treatment and procedure-room facilities.

Walk-in appointments only.

Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic does not prescribe Opioids, Benzodiazapines or Drugs of Addiction, nor are such drugs kept on premise.

 Please note that there maybe extended waiting periods subject to the needs and priorities of patients.

There may also be the inability for a consultation should the Urgent Care Clinic Doctor be fully engaged with existing Urgent Care Patients.

*Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic does not cover any cost associated with NSW Ambulance, such cost being the responsibility of the patient.

Please note, ancillary services including Pharmacy, Radiology and Pathology may not be open the same hours as Lismore Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, for specific details please refer below.

A nurse will triage you and advise if you meet UCC service criteria.

Some common illnesses or injuries that you can receive priority care for include:

  • Lacerations/cuts requiring stitches
  • Basic fracture management & sprains
  • Minor burns
  • Rashes
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Insect and animal bites
  • Respiratory conditions
  • ENT infections
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

When to call Triple Zero (000)

Call Triple Zero (000) or visit your nearest emergency department if you or someone is experiencing the following:

  • Chest pain or tightness
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Uncontrollable bleeding
  • Severe burns
  • Poisoning
  • Unconsciousness or seizures
  • Numbness or paralysis
  • A life-threatening injury
  • On-going fever in infants
  • Unresponsive
